Our Mission Statement:
The Kindred of ShiEndra is an inclusive and unifying spiritual and cultural community dedicated to deepening our awareness and expressions of oneness/divinity; awakening of our personal and collective divine unity; activating our highest potential; and celebrating our many lineages through education, ritual, drumming, movement, and play. We serve women, children, males, allies, communities and villages of all cultures with our primary focus on working with underrepresented communities to end all forms of internalized oppression.
Our Herstory:
In 1992, The Kindred of ShiEndra was established as a non-profit spiritual organization and temple in the United States after a petition was approved by the HaVlaEndra Council of Elders in Kemet. HaVlaEndra is an ancient, enduring matriarchal Kemetic society that is still in existence in present-day Egypt. Directly descended from the ancient Kemetic (Pre-Egyptian) pantheon through a carefully safeguarded bloodline, “MaShiAat” (The Sacred Queen Mother) Oloya Philae’ (One who returns by force to heal), Ordained Priestess and Queen Mother of the HaVlaEndra tradition, formed the movement in the United States to fulfill the need for a broader and more balanced spectrum of spiritual practice that honors multiple philosophies, built on a solid foundation of the ancient Kemetic principles. Because the Kindred honor and embrace diversity in all of its forms, we incorporate teachings from many regions and indigenous peoples such as Africa, The Middle East, Europe, Polynesia, Asia, and the Americas. Kindred means family of souls, spirits, or like minded people with a spiritual connection and ShiEndra means bound by oath to the Divine Mother. The word HaVlaEndra means “community activation” or “the art of healing through Divine (Spirit) intervention for a nation.”

There
are many Kemetic Tribes and Nations. We give honor and respect to all
of them. The Kemites, the Kush (Nubians) and other African Nations gave
birth to the Egyptians who became their own Nation and Tribe using the
medicines, wisdom and knowledge, technologies, spiritual and healing
modalities of their direct ancestors. The Kemetic Nation did not just
include what we now call Egypt. This fact allows for the prevalence
of Kemetic-born diasporas of customs, cultures, spiritual implements
and philosophies, ancestors, Goddesses and Gods. For example, the Orishas
of the Ifa pantheon are duly noted by their pre-Yoruba names throughout
the continent of Africa. And Palo, which is thought to be one of the
first manifestations or offshoots of Ifa, still to this day honors the
Kemites and pre-Egyptians as the hidden power behind their ancestral
lineage and spiritual rituals. |
