The Ancient Art of HaVla

HaVla is an ancient Kemetic (Pre-Egyptian) art for gathering, dispersing, moving and directing Shakti Energy. The word HaVla literally translates to mean Activation through Vibrational Metamorphosis. Shakti, or in the Kemetic vernacular, “SaaKaTi” is unshaped, raw Universal energy. HaVla is the oldest recorded, most ancient system of movements and positions for the manipulation of energy and is believed to be the origin of all other martial arts. Depictions of HaVla in all of its applications can be found in several ancient tombs, temples and papyri throughout Egypt and Nubia (Kush).  Most notably, is in the 4000+ representations painted on the walls of the Tomb of Baqet III in Beni Hasan.  Although these paintings date from approximately 2040-1782 BC the practice of HaVla predates this.  The art has been passed down through generations via teacher to student relationship.  According to the Kemetic way of life and learning, one has to walk with one’s teacher for a considerable length of time in order to “master” an art.  It is only in this way that knowledge is passed and understanding is assimilated on an intrinsic, cellular level.  MaShiAat Oloya Tyehimba was instructed by the Elders of HaVlaEndra in the way of HaVla SuTiMa and its 256 movements, as well as the 256 movements as practiced in the martial arts form HaVlaSuMa, the therapeutic massage HaVla VaTi, the vibrational attunement HaVlaVa and the meditative postures of HaVla BaSu. HaVla has many applications, five of which are currently employed by the MaShiAat and the Kindred of ShiEndra as public practice. Two of these applications, the SuTiMa (specifically the movements) and the SuMa are currently taught in workshop or private session format to students seeking greater wisdom and concordance of their energetic subtle bodies.  Certifications in these forms are available and Facilitator licensing can be achieved by studying through the MaaChai Kemetic University.

Practice of the HaVla SuTiMa is a gentle, fluid art not unlike its granddaughters Tai Chi and Qi Qong, which releases physical tension and activates the harmonic concordance of the Ka, the Ba, the BaNa and the Cha. The Ka is the eternal spark of Divine, the perfected creative breath that is within all organisms. It is that which returns to the Source upon being surrendered by the Ba.  The Ba is the house of the Ka.  It is the etheric-neuronic container that holds the Divine spark. The Ba is a symbiotic organism that collects the imprints of our individualized  identities.  The BaNa is literally the inner workings of the brain and its neural activity.  The Cha is the Flesh, or the physical body itself.  HaVla SuTiMa unblocks and stimulates the energetic current of these physical and subtle bodies. It activates and redistributes Shakti energy to restore the ideal energetic harmony of your being assisting in reopening your soul's purpose and the unfolding of its manifestation.

HaVlaVa (Kemetic Vibrational Attunement) is a treatment performed by one to four priestesses and/or priests on the receiver with the intent of the activation of healing and KaBanCha alignment. Benefits include improved circulation, revitalization, better sleep, emotional stabilization, increased energy and mobility, and many other positive effects.  The actual healing takes place within the ability of the receiver. The attending practitioners become tools of Shakti activation which amplifies this natural regenerative ability that we all possess. Many disorders, dis-eases, and debilitating conditions can be improved by this treatment. Because each person is unique, sometimes multiple sessions are needed to treat more serious or enduring conditions.* The art of HaVlaVa manipulates energy waves and adjusts frequencies to open, activate and clear areas of restricted vital energy in the physical and subtle bodies. In ancient Kemet, natural material implements were employed to adjust and fine-tune the vibrations of the receiver’s chakra system.  MaShiAat Oloya has found through practical application that modern day tuning forks, along with traditional implements, are effective tools and can be used in conjunction with the practitioner’s own attuned Va (vibration) for the same purpose of aligning the body’s energetic flow. Drums and bells are the most powerful activational tools and can be used in a multitude of ways to encourage harmonic flow or conversely to vibrationally break up blockages and dis-ease allowing the re-establishment of healthy frequencies and primal vibrationz. HaVla VaTi (Kemetic Therapeutic Massage) is also practiced in concert with the HaVlaVa and involves the use of ancient methods of cha manipulation.

HaVlaSuMa is the martial arts form of HaVla and is a discipline within itself.  Its applications include, but are not limited to, hand to hand combat styles, holds, throws, and weaponry. HaVlaSuMa is currently taught by SuMa Master KhutiWa OsaBemi-Ye, direct descendant in the HaVlaEndra lineage. For more information, please email KhutiWa Osa.
